Learn MoreThe Museo Civico di Sansepolcro is an important museum institute in Sansepolcro, which houses some of the most prestigious works by Piero della Francesca.
The museum has ten exhibition rooms distributed between the ground floor and the first floor; the basement is also an integral part of the itinerary.
Learn MoreOne of the most extraordinary and enigmatic works of the Italian Renaissance, Piero della Francesca’s Madonna del Parto is preserved in Monterchi, the splendid medieval village in the province of Arezzo, in the Tuscan Tiber Valley.
We do not know who commissioned it, when it was painted, or even why Piero was chosen to create it. The only connection between the artist and Monterchi is that it was where his mother, Monna Romana, was born. This detail has led to some rather romanticized interpretations that in its theme see a tribute to her death.
Learn MoreArezzo is one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany. Its origins date back to the Etruscan and Roman eras, of which numerous testimonies have been found, including the Roman Amphitheatre.
The historic centre still retains its medieval charm. The 13th century walls are still visible in some areas, particularly near the imposing 16th century Medici Fortress. The historic centre still retains its medieval charm: alleys and lanes, buildings with exposed brick, old shops and an atmosphere rich in history.
